Well, she's started with the little digs again today. :wall: :wall:

As per my previous thread about sickness today I have eaten:

Bowl of fruit and fibre - before I got into work
11am - bag of crisps (salt and vinegar YUMMY!)
noon - nibbled on chunks of fresh coconut
1.20pm - Bowl of soup and because the bread is a bit hard instead of going to buy a new loaf I toasted a piece.

She says: Oh, toast AND soup?? I thought you just ate your lunch.
So I said: Why are you so concerned with what I'm eating?
She says: Oh no don't get me wrong, I just thought you'd already had your lunch. (Smug smile because her husband (Director) is here and she knows I can't say anything.)

My concern is she if she is that concerned with my diet when I'm pregnant (which I don't think is terrible correct me if I'm wrong) what the hell is she like with her young daughter? (Aged 9 I think) my god acting like that to her could make her annorexic! :(

Well I think you're doing a fine job of eating little but often, and that's the best way to eat - pregnant or not.
She's just a nosy cow by the sounds of it, and needs to poke her nose out of your business and leave you alone. Some people are just horrid.

(Incidentally, I have been eating for 5000 this week, and have already consumed 2 slices of toast, a pack of pickled onion crisps, a chicken pasta salad and a double mars bar - just couldn't help myself! So don't feel bad about your eating!)

Blimey she has issues with a capital I!!

If I were you, I'd just casually tell her that your midwife has said you're not gaining weight quick enough and that you need to eat more - that should shut her up. Or just laugh in her face and eat a whole creme egg in one go with a smug look on your face.

She reminds me of the mother of one of my uni friends. My friend is 5'8" and a perfect size 12 - a really gorgeous figure, but she was always soooo self conscious about her body. First time I met her mum, I realsied why - first thing she said to her daughter when she walked in the room was 'have you been eating too much' - whilst prodding her stomach!

I feel sorry for your bosses daughter, she's probably going to be just as screwed up with a mother like that :(

I would just icnor her hun, some people get off making other people feel small about their selves. U dont have to tell anyone what u eat esp her!! u have a very good diet by the sounds of it!!

She needs to mind her own business! Nothing wrong with bread and soup together, you're hardly stuffing your face!

What the hell is her problem? Silly cow!

I know! What's with her? Even her husband opened his lunch box earlier than noon today and he said: "Oh I'm so hungry being as I didn't eat all my breakfast this morning that I'll have my lunch a little earlier today." Like he had to justify why he wanted to eat his lunch earlier?!?!? :shakehead:

Could you imagine what would happen if I 'accidentially' let slip that on the days she doesn't work he sometimes goes to the cafe for a bacon sarnie mid-morning because he knows she's not around to tell him off! :rotfl: What a sad life he leads! :rotfl: I'm going to do that, next time she tells me about her and her husbands diet (about 50 times a day) I'll say to the husband, 'That means no more bacon sarnies for you then!' like I didn't know it was a secret! :rotfl:

Poor guy is gonna get caught in the middle of a cat fight!

hiya

noticed u put chunks of coconut for lunch... i cnt see the problem with eating soup and bread aswell then... cant imagine what she eats for her lunch if she classes chunks of coconut as a lunch.

keep up the good work your doing

   Nooooooooo!

I don't understand what her problem, she should keep her nose out!

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: Sorry I'm laughing to myself because I just opened my daily 11am bag of crisps and she just said:

"Every day you have a bag of crisps before lunch"

Me: In a rather snappy voice: "It's either that or I throw up on my desk, which would you prefer?"

Her: Looking horrified as I sit quite close to her "Oh, ok right ."

And she hasn't said another word to me :rotfl: :rotfl:

Blimey - I really think you should point out to her that she has an unhealthy obsession with what other people eat, and maybe she should worry more about the size of her own arse instead. Maybe hold your hands about two feet apart whilst doing so, giving the impression that that's how big her behind looks...

Don't worry I don't think she's talking to me! :rotfl: :rotfl: She's probably thinking: 'It's vulgar for one to discuss one's bodily fluid activity in a professional environment' But I don't care at least it has shut her up for now.

I'll let you know if I get a comment for having a jacket potato with baked beans for my lunch! Practically criminal behaviour when pregnant! :rotfl: Surely that borders on child abuse??

Arrrgghh why are certain women in the workplace so bitchy and judgemental?! :?
