Had a midwife appt this morning everything is absolutely fine with me and bubs BP is still being controlled with the tablets and he is head down and now using my bladder as a boxing training bag instead of a football. While I was there I asked MW what was best to try for heartburn, I don't have it bad just thought best be prepared and she told me to try Gaviscon and if it worked get a prescription for it from the doc.
So went waddling off and got a few bits and bobs we needed and Gaviscon and went into Peacocks (clothing store) whilst at the till trying to pay I dropped one of my bags the bag with the Gaviscon which was the only breakable thing I had bought and it of course went all over the place well with all these hormones I nearly burst out crying but managed to hold it in and be a big girl lol.
I didn't have the energy to walk all the way back to Boots to get more and thought I would get more later when I have to go to the supermarket so waddled back to my car. Now I am registered disabled I have a chronic illness which makes it very painful to walk further than 50-100 yards amongst other things and I qualified for a blue badge which wasn't easy due to my age I had to get all kinds of medical reports and also due to my pride it is hard to admit that you need a blue badge before you are even 30 years old.(sorry rambling)
Anyhow Getting back to the car I again got a load of abuse from an "old dear" who seemed to think he had the right to have a go at me for being in a disabled bay, told me I was a benefit cheat and my badge was obviously fake and I should be ashamed of myself yada yada yada and that he hoped they took my baby off me as I was obviously unfit to be a parent. SO that did what the gaviscon nearly did and reduced me to floods of tears.
When I got home my hubby was furious, they never have a go at me when he is with me just when it is me or me and one or more of the kids. I told him I want to throw my blue badge away as I am fed up with all the abuse I get for usng it and hubby is adamant I have to use it and I have as much right as any old dear to use a disabled bay. I know he is right but he doesn't have to put up with all the comments and strangers yelling at you in the street like you are scum

Sorry for the long post needed to get it out if you got this far thank you

I just want to say oh my GOD. I'd have punched his lights out, I really would. I hope she feels good for upsetting you like that just before Christmas.

Have millions of these and don't let that ignorant old trout get you down

aww sweetie, how awfull..have lots of these    You should have gone in to the car and just ignore him. How dare is he talking about your blue badge.. ? Did he not see you are pregnant? What an id**t. Have something nice for lunch and forget it hun

Oh hun i so feel for you. I can completely sympathise at having a condition where you look well to others but you are actually quite poorly. I've got crohns and have a key to disabled toilets but hate using it cos of the looks you get. A few friends of mine have arthritis which can go alongside crohns and they have had run ins with people like you have.

All you have to remember is people can be damn right ignorant and you just need to ignore them. Saying that i think i may have punched the old cow if that had been me!!

Do you know so many OLD people complain about the younger generation, and how inconsiderate they/we are - blah blah blah! Well in my recent experience its the old people who are actually the rudest, they seem to think they can say what they like, because they have lived a little longer than the rest of us!!

Everytime someone slams into me, barges past me, or pushes in front of me in a queue - its an elderly person.........maybe they should practice what they preach!!

Just ignore it, some people have so little else to think about that they cant help but poke their noses into things that dont concern them at all!!

Silly Old Fart :D

Next time just say you dont need to be old and past it to be disabled ! Makes me mad ! your entittled to it ! use it, its there to benefit you and make life a little easier.

My mum has a blue badge and cant walk very far, and if Im driving her somewhere I will park in a blue bay, and the looks I get even when my mum hobbles out of the passenger side ! it makes me sick.

    how BLOODY RUDE!!!! soz but i can't believe how rude people are, it's discusting, hun ignore anyone like that they have nouthing better to do with their lifes than to b**ch   i'd personal of got in my car and run the old dear down   then again i don't drive for that very reason   (i get road rage) hun i totaly sympafise, just hold your head up high and ignore sad pefetic people like that person you have very right to a blue badge ect...

Thanks I appreciate the support  I look completely normal to an observer so I understand people looking and checking if I have a badge I do it too but if there is a badge there I wouldn't dream of saying anything.

What a cheeky old sod!

I hate it when people think they have the right to shout abuse at you when you've done nothing wrong

That is so out of order!

I HATE when old people think they have a god given right to be rude and obnoxious.

Have had several examples of this recently:

1) Elderly woman walks past the 12 people in the queue in Superdrug (of which I am at the front) and puts all her stuff down on the counter and says 'well? come on I'm in a rush' - the guy at the checkout was obviously very embarrassed and said 'excuse me madame there's a queue' to which she replies 'yes, they are behind me now hurry up please' !!!!!!! Guy ends up serving her because she refuses to move.

2) Elderly woman tried to barge infront of me at the supermarket checkout and says 'I;m going infront of you becuase I've only got two things' ! (I would normally offer to let her go first, but this was taking the piss) So I said, 'no sorry, I was here first'. She actually replied to this 'BUT YOU HAVE TO LET ME INFRONT, I'M OLD!!!!'. Then proceeds to rant the entire time I am at the till that she remembers a time when people respected their elders (couldn't resist and turned round and said 'I remember a time when old people behaved in a way that deserved respect'). To top it all off she ran over my foot in her electric scooter thingy trying to get through the till before I had even finished packing.

OLD PEOPLE ARE EVIL!!!!!!

(ok - not all of them.....but some)
