Red spots in mouth!

my daughter is complaining of a sore tongue and when i looked in her mouth she has red spots at the back of her throat.. any one know what it could be?

I get tonsilitis every year, and it doesn't normally present with red spots, mostly white, green or yellow. Though i think in kids it can be different. It sounds to me like Hand, Foot and Mouth disease. I had it when I was younger..

yes i thought it could be that, but doctor said that it was just a viral infection. thanks for your help though
