I think i'm starting with a water infection again!!!

It seems to be always after OV? too much sex causing it?

Last time i went to get antibiotics...this was when i had MC.

Can a water infection cause misscarriages early on? im really worried now as i dont want to

keep going backwards and forwards to the doctors all the time, i hate going as it is.

I dont want to keep taking antibiotics...............x

I used to get urine infections about two or three time per year, once when i was on holiday it got so bad my pee was bright orange with all the blood in it.

I never had antibiotics for it - don't like meds :shakehead: - but i swear by Canesten Oasis, lots of water and cranberry juice. Repeat anti-biotics are only going to make anything worse in the long run.

Things like coffee and fizzy drinks can make it worse.

You get 6 sachets full of powder and you're suppose to make a drink, but i couldn't drink a big thing so i mix it will as little watre as possible and then throw it to the back of my throat and down a big glass of pure water to wash it away.

Horrid - but it always relieved the pain immediately and clears it up in a couple of days.

I don't mean to cause offense and it's tmi, but i always felt it was due to personal hygiene - particularly that of my hubby. He is clean(ish) but he sweats alot and well... men are pretty gross.

The thrusting can really pack any germs right up your urethra

You might want to make sure that your partner is squeeky clean imo.

I do now, and i haven't had it for a long while.

Also, you might want to give yourself a quick wipe with your BV, but i don't personally feel that your body would react so badly to your own bugs :)

Thanks louise, i wouldnt say he was dirty but not "sqeeky" clean lol...well not as clean as me i shower everyday he has a

bath when he feels like it lol but i will get him to have a wash beforehand now and see if it

does the trick its worth a try!

Do you think its maybe the sex bringing it on? could it be ovulation pains do you think or are they totally different? ive

had a few twinges that i thought were ovualtion pains before and now it feels heavy in lower abdomen when i push tmi

like for a wee lol. i got it last time around ovulation ive just looked back on my threads. oh and i have just had a pint

of cranberry juice.

I personally think it was definately sex related because like i mentioned it can push all the germ into your urethra, but if there are no germs then i think you can have sex as often as you like.

I only ever got abdominal pains when it was getting worse. It wasn't the first symptoms i got.

First i got the need to wee a lot and then the painful weeing and then sometimes abdominal pain if it was really bad.

I guess it could be ovualtion - i think ovulation is much sharper and localised, whereas urine infections cause a more sickly overall churning pain.

I don't know about miscarriage, not really thought about it before, but i don't see why it should. Your bladder and kidney function and reproductive systems are completely separate, even though they both have parts in between you legs :)

thanks again hun, and ive just told OH to get a wash next time and stop giving me germs  he just pulled a sad face haha x

Hahahahahaha! It's almost become a part of my OH's routine - he uses one hand to brush his teeth and the other hand to... ;)
