Hi all,

I've never been a great cook, but I'm willing to have a go. When I go on maternity leave, I plan to start cooking proper healthy meals for me and OH - so that when the time comes for baby to start eating proper food, it can eat the healthy food that I cook.

So what I'm after from you lovely ladies, are some simple, healthy family recipes for me to try.

I'm a bit of a fussy eater, but I'm going to try not to be (don't want baby following suit!) - but I can't eat spicy food or curry (I've triiiieeed)!

Thank you all in advance!

Beef stew:

In a big pot, cover some mince in water and bring to the boil.
Add potatoes (cut them in half first)
Chop an onion and carrots and add.
When the potatoes have softened, break them up a bit in the mixture and add gravy granules until thick.

Serve with crusty bread et voila.
Easy and yummy! X

Chinese lemon chicken

Mix 150ml of lemon juice a drop of soy sauce and 1tbsp of flour in a bowl and pour over some diced chicken leave to marinate then cook chicken and sauce in a pan.

Super easy and less than 100 cals

One of my favourite teas is potato bake. Its so easy!

Boil baby potatoes, enough for however many your cooking for.
Slice the potatoes up thinly when cooked.
Melt butter over them.
Make a light cheese sauce (some flour and butter whisked together with two cups of milk and simmer it till its warm) and pour over the potatoes.
Pour some grated cheese and breadcrumbs over them and cook in the oven till crispy.

Delicious!
