Really high bbt's

Just curious really as I'm not sure it means much. When I do bbt checks, my temp is usually around 37.3/4 in the first half of the cycle. In the luteal phase it goes up to 37.8-38.4. I'm 5dpo I think and bbt 38.0 this morning.

Does anyone else get this? It can't be a fever as I feel fine and these readings are fairly consistent. I feel cold all the fricking time, so it doesn't make much sense. I do remember after an operation when I was younger they kept me in hospital longer than I should have stayed saying I had a fever when I felt fine, so maybe that's just how I roll!

Hello, i sometimes have some really high temps! Did you have anything to drink the night before? or did you have a restless night? both of thoes make my temps go sky high!

I drink alcohol on fri and sat usually, but only a small amount, rest don't touch it, and temps in luteal phase still high, I have noticed slightly higher with alcohol though too. Thanks though, nice to know someone else gets some really high ones!

I think if your temps stay high for like 8 days its a good sign of a bfp although might want to double check that I remember reading something about that before I was due to start temping but I didnt need to in the end up so Im not 100% on the number of days but consistent high temps are good i think!? Check against your previous charts, how is your CM?xxx

I think if your temps stay high for like 8 days its a good sign of a bfp although might want to double check that I remember reading something about that before I was due to start temping but I didnt need to in the end up so Im not 100% on the number of days but consistent high temps are good i think!? Check against your previous charts, how is your CM?xxx

I'd love to get excited but the high temps thing was consistent every month last year - have checked my charts, it stays up that high for at lest 10 days, dipping only on the day AF arrives, so no clues really from temps

Having a really symptomless tww generally this month, not sure if good thing or bad thing...

I used bbt to get pregnant with my first, your temp rises when you are ovulating this can change in cycles as sometime u ovulate longer or earlier hence why pols dates can be out at scans. It will stay high for a couple if days and drop back down - u probes already know all that bur my guess us you've ovulated later thus cycle

I think it depends on where you takeyour temp. I take them orally and never get above 37.0 but vagnally would be much higher.
