Just taken another hpt and it's a barely there + according to lmp I'm 9 weeks today shouldn't there be an amazingly strong line :(

I know some women struggle to get a strong line. Think it depends on how strong hcg level is. Did you take a test first thing?xx

Yep and it's hardly there :( I have read online (the worst thing to do I know!) that when placenta takes over hcg stops doubling as the placenta is doing all the hard work? And cbd says after 6 weeks tests are inaccurate? So I really don't know what to think x

There's a thing called the "hook effect", if you dilute your sample with water it should be a stronger line - the hormone levels are so high at this point that they trick the test x

Please stop testing! At this point it will not doou any favours. You've got your positive so please be patient until you get your scan. So many people worry and all is well. The above poster is right Google the hook effect

Again I agree with the hook effect. Dilute your pee with a 50/50mix with water and you should have a dark line xxx

Honestly id stop testing I did this with my first I had a negative around 9/10 weeks .. i paid for a private scan think it was £99 with baby bond my son is 5 in December it's because I had too much hcg xxx

I'm tourtering myself but after 3 miscarriages I just want to be a mummy it's so hard :( I say little baby on the 9th October and it had a heart beat but with my history I'm terrified xx thank you all for replying though xx

Hun pls stop testing.
At 9 weeks u wouldnt really see lines at all ur levels will be 2 high x

Try diluting your pee and if that doesn't work I'm still certain there's nothing wrong. You've seen your little baby and everything is perfectly fine, so try to relax. I know it's hard. I don't know anyone who doesn't worry, but I only started to relax once I forgot about the tests. Trust me, you will feel so much better! :)
