Hey girls,

As the title says I've had a terrible headache which progresses into a migrane with aura by the end of the day.

Spoke to midwife and she advise to make an appointment with doctor. I'm going there at 2.

I've had migranes previously as a child, but they usually go after a nights sleep and water.

I'm fed up 3 days in a row it's horrible :(

Anyone experience this? Can they offer any advice ?

I hope it's nothing more serious x

Please help I'm suffering so much :'(

I had a three day headache last week. I rested and drank loads of water.

Thanks princess! Did it just go away? I'm scared to sleep invade I wake up feeling rotten again :( x

Yeah I had that after my swine flu jab. I phoned my Dr's and they said they couldn't do anything so I just took paracetamol - as much as I could as often as I could, slept in a darkened room and drank as much water as I could.

It did eventually pass. I really feel for you hun, I felt terrible xxx

Mine passed too. I did start to worry when it lasted so long. Just rest as much as you can xx

Have u tried a cold compress on the back of ur neck? I find that really helps

I had migraines earlier on in my pregnancy and they checked with a brain doctor (sorry no idea what they are called!!) as it caused numbness and flickering in my eyes and he said its common and caused by the hormones. I now drink gallons of water and have been a lot better

I've had them in previous pregnancies around the 30 week mark. They are awful!! I stopped eating chocolate and that stopped them so maybe try? Mine were hormones and resting eventually took them away. I hope the doc can help you! Vit b6 also helps Ive heard.

Good luck!

Hi hun, you poor thing, migraines are awful! Yes, i've had a couple. Just hell!

I'm having accupuncture to try to help with it. My only advice is pitch black room and someone stroking your forehead. I've heard a little lavendar at your temples helps but i cant handle any smell when i have migraine so maybe you cant either. I find a warm compress better than a cold. The very best thing is tigerbalm. I rub it accross my forehead and it goes hot and cold and tingly and really helps for a short while. I know its recommended for pregnant women (in small doses) but it is only a temporary relief really and the headache comes back when it wears off.

I have also been having a lot of normal headaches. my doctor said to take paracetamol but they dont do much - so again with the dark room and loads of water, the majority of the headaches are caused by shifts in hormones or just plain dehydration, we need twice the normal amount of water right now xxx

Thanks ladies, miraculously the migrane has now gone! Woohoo I'm so happy!

Hopefully they will stay away for a while now! :)

I definitely need to up my intake of water though!

Thank u so much for all the kind words and support ladies xxxx

Hi, have been suffering with really bad headaches that last a few days at a time for about 6 weeks now, they come on during the night and gradually get worse. The MW told me to see the Dr and he did lots of tests and said it was my hormones. So I am just putting up with them and using paracetamol and drinking lots and lots of water. Hoping they will stop soon!
