ive used these for all my pregnancies and ive never had a longer than 7 hour labour. so i swear by them. Don't get the tea bags they are crap. Get the holland and barat capsule.

the trick to enjoying the capsules is to add sugar to the drink and leaving it to cool down so you can glug it easily.

break the capsule into a cup.
add hot water (not boiling)
add a good spoonful of brown sugar (or white if you're common :rotfl: )

keep stirring it every now and then until its cooled down.

Then drink it make sure you drink the whole drink and don't leave any scraps in the bottom. its the bits that make it work.

once you're near you're due date make half a cup instead of a full cup.

I only have white sugar  ,gonna have a cup after the school run :D xx

I've just made a cup following your directions, have to say it looks grim but I'm up for trying anything so now just waiting for it to cool down :|

In my defence I'd made it before reading the post so didnt know it should be brown sugar not white.

well this is a good sign.

no miracle babe! has it worked then?

Nahh was on the phone and now going to pick DD up from school.

See you at 7pm Budge :rotfl:

:rotfl: oh god i hope not.

just have a couple of cups a day. then increase to three at 35 weeks. then increase to 4 after that.

Hate to blow the myth but i used Raspberry leaf tea an my labour was 19 hrs
I actually found the tea ok.

oh you haven't blown the myth. Perhaps you didn't use brown sugar.

did you use the capsules or the tea bags?

I took raspberry leaf tablets and drank the tea from about 33 weeks last time round. I was in slow labour for 8 days, then active labour for 32 hours.

do they let you be in labour for 32 hours?

what do you class as being in labour?

do you mean it took you 32 hours to go from 3 - 10 cm dilated?
