Hi,

I'm more of a reader than a poster, but hoping someone can help with this. I'm 35 weeks and about a week ago, started coming out in a rash across my bump. It started as little red dots in my stretch marks, but over the week it spread into a rash across my whole bump. Then, since this weekend, I've started to come out in a rash on my hands, feet and around my lower legs, as well as the insides of my thighs. It's so itchy I just can't help but scratch it some of the time. I've tried aloe vera gel, vaseline, sudocreme and calamine lotion and they all only help for maybe half an hour before the itch returns. I mentioned it to my midwife last week who had a look (at that stage it was on my bump only) and she had no idea what it was , but suggested that I try the calamine lotion.

Has anyone had this before? Or know of any remedies? Please....

Defo get it checked out by someone else is my opinion. Itching can be harmless but its best to rule out anything sinister.

Keep us informed and best of luck

Hi Jellyfish,

That sounds horrible! I contracted a rash at 20 weeks which turned out I had caught virally and lasted 5 weeks!!! There was no harm to the baby and I just used loads of calomine lotion and aloe vera gel. I don't think there is anything else you can use. I also avoided using any perfumed products. It's so uncomfortable. The others are right though, I would get the name of the rash so you can find out if it is dangerous or not. Mine was Pityriasis Rosacea and it sounds familiar!

Thanks for the replies. Have an appointment for tomorrow to get it looked at.

Look at your 4D pic!! Its incredible, never seen one so clear.

Are you having a boy or a girl??

Aw thanks JaidyBaby. That's our little girl (so we're told anyway ). Well we saw for ourselves on 3d/4d so I'm pretty sure she'll be a girl. Not long left now thankfully
