well i just wanna have a bit of a moan, im sooo tired and whenever i've been to work i always feel 1000000x worse, back ache, stretchin pains, always on my feet and i really cant cope. I come home upset most nights and sometimes cry. it seems too far away till i can start maternity leave and am wonderin weather or not to hand my notice in. I didnt realise how tiring it'd be being preg and have a 2 year old. I thought im supposed to feel better in 2nd trimester!! Sorry to go on and on but its gettin me down. thanks for listening ladies xx

if you can afford not to work hun then maybe it would be for the best, or could you get a sick note for a while

ask ur doc to sign u off for a few weeks with stress. its very easy to get signed off work for stress, and lets face it- it sounds like u are! if u hand in ur notice, u wont get maternity pay!
hope ur feeling better soon

thanks ladies, what do you think i should say to my doctor, im not very good when it comes to things like this.

Just explain to your doctor like you've said here about all the aches and pains etc.

I'm facing a similar thing but only have 4 weeks to go anyway so I'm trying to last it out.

I hope you get the sick note and some rest.

i think exactly what u said to us- ur aching, tired, miserable and feel like u cant cope at wrk at the moment, and u been crying over it, and u need some time off.

u might not even hav to say anything- about 3 or 4 years ago i was going thru a difficult time and went to my docs thinking i'd hav to tell him all my private business and expected him to be reluctant to sign me off. but i didnt even get thru my first sentence, he said "you need some time off work? no problem, how much do u need? 3 weeks, 4 weeks?"
honesty it was simpler than i thought!

hope u get some rest during ur time off and feel happier and able to enjoy ur pregnancy and time with ur 2-yr-old more.

I dont know if you've already been to the doctors yet, hope things are picking up for you though.

Dont hand in your notice else you wont qualify for your maternity leave etc. Get your doctor to sign you off with a pregnancy related illness, ie the backache, the pains could be SPD, this is because your employers cannot take any disciplinary action against you for pregnancy related sick absence.
