Quite upset

Just found out today that my husband is probably due to be deployed on literally my due date.

He will have been back from Iraq 10 months and they *think* will be sending him for another 6 months mid may. Right when Im due. Last time he went our youngest was 12 weeks old and he didn't some back till he was 9 months old.

I KNOW I can do the whole labour and birth thing on my own, Im just worrying about after the baby is born and my 2 little boys. I have a 2 and a half year old and a 1 and 2 months year old. We live in Germany too as that is where he is posted so its not like I can ask my mum and dad to baby sit while I have a kip.

Just wanted a bit of a rant really, it may come to nothing, but if I know the army like I think I do I'll be pushing on my own...

Thats awful can he not get paternity leave for when the baby is due?

Aww hun I know exactly how you feel! My hubby is in the army too and we found out Friday that he most probably will be going to Afganistan in April (I'm due in May). From what I have heard about other army wives in a lot of cases they allow the husband to come home for the birth but I think that's mostly if your husband is 'special' i.e of a high rank. The class system in the army sucks doesn't it? I don't know how I'll cope yet and I only have the one DS at the moment. If I can find anything out for you I'll let you know.
