Just a quick one to say thank you to all the ladies who have replied to my posts on here today you have all helped and given me good tips on what I should be doing in preparation for causing a pregnancy now me & my other half have started trying for a baby..

Good luck on the roller-coaster that is ttc. Hopefully your lucky and it happens quite quickly for you both! It's nice to see a man actually showing he is bothered instead of hiding it lol.
I thought mine had just agreed to have a baby to shut me up until the other day I said I don't think I want another anymore and he was upset and told me so. I wish he had shown more of an interest in the begining!

Hey thank you in guys can be a little strange and uncomfortable at first as it scares us silly I know & I was too but knowing my partner is needing to be a Mum I have stepped up to the table as it were and now getting very keen on the idea really enjoying all of this at the moment and speaking with you all on here..

Genuinely excited about going out today to top up on my Sperm building diet & think a trip to Holland & Barrett’s is on the cards

I know what you mean and feel like I’m the only guy on here but hey don’t really care just hope I can help any of you as you are helping me.

Thank you for replying, it’s nice to know there is interest.. I will start it today just think as well as me asking you girls for advise I might be able to help as well

I’m going to try & cut down the stress levels and keep the Baby making as much fun as possible as I think this & being in full enjoyment of the moment is when a Pregnancy Is caused more easy & obviously while being in the most fertile state I can be in too

I totally agree... we was trying for 18 months and nothing we decided to give up till the new year and just have us time again and enjoy us and even was going to Egypt in march and the month we gave up was the month we got pregnant had to cancel Egypt as I will be 8 months pregnant then but we are so happy to be pregnant so I think all the stress taken out of it that month did the trick xx

Also a good way to keep the babymaking stressfree is not to get caught up with opks and fertile windows...just dtd every other day if that's possible from end of AF. The more you focus on catching ovulation the more stressful it gets. Just have regular sex and don't even think about TTC.

It makes sense to me.. if you’re body is not relaxed and it’s all a bit bumpy then I think things are not going to be smooth after all it is a Chemistry but it needs to be an enjoyable one for both for the magic to happen!

You are totally right, I can see where trying to find the time window is like trying to catch a butterfly

The sex every other day seems like the best scenario to me.. as i think a guy needs that day in between the Baby making to reproduce the Sperm levels!

So my idea for myself is on the days we don’t have sex is if it runs into 4 days I will make sure I ejaculate as I want as fresh & mature Sperm as possible for TTC!

Don’t know if this will work but seems like a plan

Yes try and keep the chemistry and the magic and love between you, sex shouldn't be a chore that's when you start losing the magic and the fun, that's why we decided to give up for abit, I agree with sunflower don't get caught up with the opks, I never used them but I knew if I did I'd be addicted to them plus my doctor recommended not using them he said it would put too much stress on us, have regular sex when you both feel like it, I don't think it matters if you do it every day or every other day and I'm sure my doctor said that too (we went to see him after the year mark) the month we got caught we was like a new relationship again we had sex as much as we wanted and I never held the sperm in with my legs in the air I went to loo straight after so I personally think if your relaxed your bodies will do what it's supposed to do, I'm looking forward to your journey xx

It’s all really confusing to be fair, some say try to have sex every other etc etc as I said above I want my Sperm to be as fresh as possible so I won’t be holding it longer than say four days when we can’t be on the Baby making!

I was always under the assumption it was best the woman to lay on her back, legs in the air etc etc lol to give the Sperm I good chance but after your comment guess this is another myth..

I heard some where that when a man ejaculates all the good stuff shoots straight to where it's supposed to and the stuff that falls out is the excess left behind like the sperm that's not strong enough and a lot is just the fluid the sperm travels in, it does look a lot that drips out after wards but you have to remember how tiny sperm is and how many millions will be on its travels looking for the egg to fertilise.. its amazing what our bodies do xx

I thought that only last night about the sheer amout of wasted Sperm but as you say it’s mainly made up of Ejaculate (Fluid) for the Sperms movement!

As long as the main important part is getting sent to the right place that’s all that matters

It amazes me how little us guys know about our own Fertility including myself!
