I bought some chinese chicken things on skewers from Tesco the other day and they were lovely. I'm doing my online shopping at the moment form Sainsbury but can't find what sauce it would be as I want to make my own. It's the bright red sauce they put on Chinese things. Anyone know what this is?

teriyaki? but it is more browny coloured

Sweet chilli?

Sweet & Sour?

Kung Po?

How about you go on Tescos website and find what it was????

This is the them. Just says chinese 5 spices :? . It's the same sort of stuff they put on ribs in a chinese takeaway.

If you are trying to make them yourself, I would just buy some chinese 5 spice from the spice section and mix it with some honey and then coat the chicken

Found the 5 spice and added to list. Would any honey do or has it got to be special stuff for cooking?

Any honey would do the job

mmmm can I come for tea, sounds lovely :)

If its not runny honey just pop the jar into a bowl of hot/boiling water and the honey should go runny :D
