I mc my 1st pregnancy, so would my next pregnancy be classed as 2nd Pregnancy but 1st baby or 2nd baby?

The baby we lost was very real and had a name rather than a nickname, and (we both felt) was a boy, so I guess I want to get my head round it a bit as I will always feel that the next baby is number 2... does that make sense? but know that if it referred to 1st baby professionally I will have to cope with that bit...

if the mc occurred before a certain point, the mws and drs will see your next as your 1st but to you its what it is.

Pregnancy # 2 hun, they always class the mc as a pg if pregnancy was confirmed

Exactly as Mamafy said. When I was PG with Nimah it was 2nd pregnancy in my notes.

thanks for the replies, I guess I am trying to mentally prepare myself for them to refer to the next one as 1st baby though, no point in correcting them as it is personal to me I guess... so just going to have to roll with it...

They're normally pretty good at acknowledging pg's.

I corrected them all the time, especially people scanning me who'd say single pg and I'd say no it was a twin pg :( Some were very good as with Katie her little twin stayed till I gave birth so every scan I saw the empty sac :(

gosh, that must have hurt
the only consolation is that I should get better support with any concerns next time from what the GP said... as soon as I get that positive it is going on my notes

I had a mmc and the doctors have been calling this pregnancy my 2nd :) xx

Your 1st baby... your angel.. will always be your first pregnancy hunni!
Ive lost 2 due to Missed Miscarriages and i class the one im pregnant with now as my 3rd baby.
Dont be scared to correct your MW's or anyone talking to you as they should acknowledge this.

Good luck hun, lots of hugs your way
*blows a kiss to your angel*
x
