I'm just wondering how long it takes to feel 'normal' again after u give birth?

Every year, there's an awards ceremony in Belfast called 'The People Of The Year Awards' - and one of the categories is 'Bride of the Year' - and I found out on Friday that my friends have put me forward for it.
Its really sweet of them and I really appreciate it, but the awards ceremony is being held roughly 4 or 5 weeks after my due date.
So, IF she comes on time, will I be able to attend the ceremony?
I don't think they fully thought it through when they did it tbh lol x

If you have a vaginal delivery then yes, you will be able to go, you'll be well recovered by then if you have no complications x

I went to a concert 4 weeks after giving birth to my LO. I had no problems at all.

That's great guys, thank u!
Fx I have a straight forward, drama free delivery then lol xx

Even after my section I was able to go on a night out 3 weeks after so you should be grand x

I must admit that I may have been silly with my first, had him at 9am was shopping in tesco at 10pm (I was nuerotic and thought I needed stuff) so 4-5 weeks and I'm sure you'll be fine lol ;-)

You should be fine by then, its being away from the Lo now that is not easy.

I was out dancing 4weeks after. Let LO with daddy. Xxx

what a lovely surprise jay! i think you will enjoy a break for a night, although i did feel strange leaving LO with ANYONE early on - my mum had to remind me that she had had four children of her own and was more than capable! lol

clara x

you'll be fine. with my daughter it was about two weeks with my boy i was riding my horses again after a week x

You probably will be fine physically if you have a vaginal delivery without complications. Don't underestimate that you might not want to leave your baby though!

I am feeling about normal now after 7 weeks

Yeh hun i would say you would be fine to go but then again everybodys different.. Im sure you will be ok tho :). Good luck xx

Good luck :) not personally had an previous children. But my friend just found out she is expecting on the 1st of jan... Her wedding is booked for 29th jan... She has 2previous straight forward births and doesn't seem phased by this at all... So she must have bounced back pretty well with her 1st 2 xx

Thanks so much everyone!! :)

I guess the biggest problem will be leaving LO for a few hours lol x
