Did any of you have your baby early first time round and if so what was the reason for babys early arrival xxx

No sorry, my first was 41+1. Went into labour after 3rd sweep.

I had my first at 37+3 no reason for being early just my waters went and 5 hours 30 mins later baby was here x

I had my first and second babys a week early :) xx

My first was bang on his due date, at 3:35am.

The day before, I had NO idea I was gonna go into labor. I was just under 4 hours from start to finish.

No idea why, or what makes bubs decide it's time. Just have to roll with it, I'm afraid.

I did a long (but gentle) walk the day before, then an hour long good hot bath, followed by an hour sat on my birthing ball.

As for if any of it helped, who knows? Xx

I was induced at 38wks due to gestational diabetes n he was here the next day after a very short Labour. Hoping I can have a home birth this time.

Tri hopping but ds arrived at 39+4 and i went into labour at 8:30pm on 39+3.

My waters went at 4am - I'd had no signs before then - at 38+3 and dd was here 10 hours later :-)

Thanks ladies... I really need baby to arrive on time or a bit over due! I'm on my final placement for uni and if I don't finish I have to go back at a later date to finish off however many hours I have left! so was just curious as to how many first babies came early xxx

I'll probably have this one early due to bleeding in pregnancy, but unless you have a known problem you (or anyone else) won't know when theyll come and there's nothing you can do to control it x
