Question for mummies of little girls....

A health visitor told me once, when my baby was constipated, that I should put vaseline on my little finger and put it up her bottom to help her pass the poo, I was horrified at the thought and never did it. So its easy to get mis-information without it being sinister.

I've been told that too but would never do it!!!

Sometimes Isla's runny poo gets in her front bits and i have to clean round her 'bits' and into the cracks but not had to go inside no, definately not.

Think if they only had boys they clearly dont have a clue. What a Wally!

Im glad you asked, better than not knowing :D

And having 2 girls I can safely say I never had to do that - poo just doesnt get there if you know what I mean.

completely off topic but I used to have a hamster who would get "aroused" and pop his todgr out but couldn't pop it back in. It would getn really sore so I had to take him to the vets who would grease him with vaseline so it slid back in. After a couple of visitis he told me that I could do it at home  Greasing up my hamster :rotfl:

sorry completely off topic but your thing about vaseline just reminded me of that

Sorry if I upset you guys with this question, but its been bugging me for a while. I didn't think it sounded right, it came from someone who doesn't have any kids who was telling me why boys are easier than girls...like he would know!!!
Thanks for clearing it up or me, and sorry again if I upset anyone.

just wanted to add that you didn't cause me any upset. If you can't ask here where can you ask?

No you didn't cause me any upset either. It's good that you questioned this information, even if they didn't have kids surley most normal people wouldn't think that was right anyway. Maybe the person didn't explain them self very well, I don't know, but it is harder cleaning girls than boys and you do have to clean in all the bits if its a runny poo but it definatly wouldn't even go inside anyway. don't feel bad for asking this question hun

No :? I have to part the sides to wipe around the inside of the sides...not the inside inside but do u know what i mean? When i wipe there it all comes away and is cleaned, nothing goes up there!
