Hi

I had an emergency c.section and am not breast feeding. I wanted to ask other Mums how long it took for their cycle to regulate again?

I bled for 4 weeks after the c.section then week 6 had a period, then 21 days later another period then 28 days another one (I was thinking yippee back on track) and now 21 days later started again (I just had the copper coil put in so not sure if that triggered it).

Is it usually for my periods to be scatty for a few months?

might be better posted in Post Pregnancy Health (hidden in OT section)? Thats where to ask this sort of thing after you've had baby :) Hopefully someone will see it there. Or ask a mod to move it?

Thanks I did wonder where to put it

Still wondering if it is normal to have such an irregular cycle and if so how long for - if it is 28 days next month I'll be due on my birthday :(

I have heard its normal to be a bit irregular for a while after birth. I bled for 6 weeks after the birth and I've just started my first period today. Everyone is different though hun but give it time, I'm sure you'll get back to a regular cycle

Thanks

It is probably just me being impatient. My DH birthday is on the 12 December, then Christmas Day then my birthday on 31st December and we got together on 1 Janauary ~(invited him to my birthday 6 years ago and hey presto at 1am after new year celebratioms he made a move!!) So there is alot to celebrate in December  so it gets really annoying when my cycle is all over the place

Mxxxx
