Question about pregnancy tests

I took a pregnancy test this morning. I am 9dpo and it showed up a line. It was quite a strong at first and pink and faded a bit then dissappeared once it had dried. Could this be a positive or could it be evap lines (although I heard that evap lines are generally grey)? I took one again this evening but my urine was quite pale in colour so probably wasn't the best but it happened again, although this time not so strong. I've been having symptoms but could probably put them down to anything. I've had itchy boobs, sensitive nipples, darker areolas and my the areola seems to be bigger, cramps in my lower stomach and back, a stitch and eating alot. I know I have tested quite early so I'm going to try again on Sunday morning to see what is happening. A pic is below. If that can't enlarge then try the link I have also posted below. In this picture, the line isn't as strong looking as it was in the flesh.

How soon did the line come up babes? I can see a line in the pic but if the pic was taken after the recommended 5/10 mins time then it could be an evap

The line definitely came up within 10 minutes. Was a noticeable pink line but then faded.

I'm not sure then hun, I think the line would remain if it was a positive result but I might be wrong. If a line came up within the time frame then I would take it as a BFP though Hope it is babes, maybe do another test with FMU in morn

I'll do it again tomorrow and let you know. Thanks for your advice. I'm confused!! I was wondering if it maybe faded because it was such a faint line. I'm trying to convince myself Im not pg in case I'm not but I couldn't help feeling excited when I saw the line.

I know babes, its so hard to not get excited when you see a line no matter how faint it is. I'm hopeful for you as it came up within the 10 mins though. Will keep my fingers crossed for you

this line looks like when I got a bfp at 11dpo. It came up faint ant pink but faded when it dried. If it was deffo pink in the flesh then test again with fmu. My line got darker over 5 days and was still pink when it dried by then too! I didn't get excited until 15dpo when I did a divi to confirm and it said pregnant. Unfortunately my bean didn't stick but good luck with your test tomorrow xxxx

I just had a look at the test again and if I look really carefully, I'm sure I can still see something, although I'm wondering if I'm seeing it because I want to see it if you know what I mean. It looks to me like there is still a very slight, very faint pink line/smudge. I'll see how I get on tomorrow. I might buy one of the digital ones but I'm scared it's going to say not pregnant. Oh well, I guess only time will tell.

yeah unfortunately I miscarried very early at just over 5 weeks, about a week after I got my bfp on a digital test.
Lots of ladies on here call their baby 'bean' before they've seen him on a scan, and send 'stickybabydust' to help the baby stay put, but mine wasn't listening!

I can only tell you my experience.......I tested using ebay cheapies numerous times and never had an evap line, the month I wasnt pregnant the test was whiter than white once dried.......absolutely not even the faintest line if you squinted (I must have tested 15+ times that first month ).

The month I got my BFP from 9 dpo I got a faint but slightly pinkish/greyish line (you did have to squint to see it at first ), which did get darker and after the test had dried, the line did fade somewhat until I was about 16 dpo and then the line was much darker and kept its colour!

I would recommend using a clearblue digi the day your AF is due, or if you have irregular cycles then around 14/15 dpo - they are too expensive to use to test too early!!

I took 2 tests this morning, one was the dip stick ones and the other was the one you pee over. Did this both with FMU. I'm not sure now. The dipstick type one (don't know what they are called, sorry!) didn't really show anything this time but the other one did show up a line but I can't tell if it's an evap line or a pink line. Came up within the time. Would post a pic but it wouldn't show up. I feel a bit sad now and especially because I noticed a pinky, yellowy, brownish discharge this morning. I think AF is on her way

On the brighter side, I saw 2 magpies this morning!!
