Hi,

I bought the CBFM in January after TTC for the last year or so and having no luck.

For the first 4 cycles of using the monitor I thought it was great - I had 4 cycles of high and peak days and thought it was only a matter of time etc..

But this month I have had low results all month and I cannot understand why?!

I have read about possibly not ovulating but someone told me that this is not possible if I have regular periods?! And that I wouldn't just suddenly stop ovulating.

Now I am a bit worried and very confused! Can anyone help?

x

You have to try and remember that our bodies are much more complicated than the simplified explanations of our cycles and hormones that we refer to imply.

Our understanding of what is going on is probably just scratching the surface :)

The bottom line is that if your ovulation isn't going to happen on a cycle for whatever reason, there is nothing you can do about it and all you can do is hope that it is an isolated incident which i'm sure it is ;)

If it happens again on your next cycle, go and see your GP.

Hi Milly!

I am having the same problem you were.....did you ever get anything other than Lows that month? I have been testing for 11 days and all Lows. :(

Thanks in advance!!

Hi there. I've been using the CB monitor for about 16 moaths and always had a peak reading on CD13. Last month I had nothing. This is the first time I hadn't got a peak reading. When I started researching, it seems women ovulate on average 10 times a year, so it's perfectly normal to miss an odd one. I was dreading using it this month in case it happened again - especially as I'd had an HSG three days before. But come CD13 again, I got the peak reading, so last month was obviously one of those blips.

Try not to stress - I'm sure you'll be back to normal again next month. It is a pain as you feel like you've wasted a month, but there's not a lot you can do about it. Look forward to the next cycle xx

Hi tract0rgirl!

Thanks so much for your reply! On the months that you did not receive a peak, did you have lows all month? Did you ever get a high? Did you get a period at your normal time, but think you just didn't ovulate? I temp also and it shows I still have not ovulated, but I feel like my body is gearing up for it. I know that I did ovulate last month based on my temps. So it is normal not to ovulate every month? I thought that just had to do with women who have PCOS. No? This is only my second month with the monitor, but it frustrating that I have never gotten a peak. I started getting highs on CY13 last month and I hae 30-32 day cycles. I got excited about the monitor and I just want the dang thing to work! :wall2:

I also just looked up what an HSG was. :) My Dr. was saying doing something like that might be a good idea. What did your Dr. find and do you think it was worthwhile?

Hi - last month, I just got low readings all the way through. I never get high readings anyway. Mine always jumps from low to peak, which makes life really easy for me. No hanging around waiting for it to go from high to peak. Don't forget it sometimes takes the monitor a few cycles to get used to you. I got a "period"'or bleed at about the same time my normal AF would have occurred. It wasn't any different. If you don't ovulate, some women find they have a lighter bleed than normal, but mine was about the same - still had the damn cramps as well!

I had the HSG as part of my investigations as to why I haven't got pregnant. I had to go through the blood tests and ultrasound first. The HSG was the last test. It showed my tubes were clear anyway, but they still got a flush out! They say you've got a good chance of conceiving for the following three months after your HSG as it will usually clear out any debris from your tubes, although there's no real scientific evidence to back this up. If you research it there will be plenty of women who have fallen pregnant after a HSG - my sister did. Whether it was a result of the HSG or just coincidence, who knows. It'll certainly help, I'm sure. Got to keep positive!

Well, I had really given up on the monitor and practically forgot to temp and POAS and I got a high reading today! My hubby walked in on me checking my cervix...LOL! I would have been really frustrated if I did not get a high reading since my cervix was high and open.

I really hope that your HSG helped and this month maybe we will both get our BFPs!! That would be really nice!! I think I stress out too much with this whole TTC thing. Maybe it even delayed ovulation? At this point, I am over a week late for it which is rare! Keep me posted, tract0rgirl! I am sending Baby dust your way!!! :)
