Sorry if this sounds like a really dumb question but at what age do you stop giving pureed or mashed food?
Yesterday Phoebe managed some chicken, yorkshire pudding and veg for her lunch whole but cut into strips. Today I gave her a cheese sandwich cut into little squares and some cucumber but she barely touched it, she ate some but mainly malled it and chucked it on the floor. So I ended up giving her some pureed veg instead.
But at what stage do they fill themselves up enough with solid food and you don't have to do purees anymore? :) xx

Tapatalking :)

I only give him.mash if its part of the meal - say mashed potatoes and cod etc. He wont take much from me anyway.
He is nearlt 1 and pich up things like peas so wont go hungry

Tapatalking so cant see signatures

Yeah that's what I'm worried about is that she won't get enough to fill her up if I let her feed herself x

It'll depend how good she is at feeding herself. Remember her main source of nutrition should still be milk at under a year. If she's hungry I'm sure she'd tell you. X

On my iPhone - so cant see tickers :(

Sounds like you're doing it right giving her the solid stuff then purée afterwards that's just my view. We do things the other way here Lewis has his own dinner first then nicks some of ours he loves roast chicken
