What do you all do to keep the place free of puppy hair. I panic a little thinking that in 2 months we will have a bean and the living room is constantly full of hair :(
I vacuum every day, sometimes even twice, I brush the puppy every day and I added oils in her food.
Any more ideas?
It can't be so healthy for a small bean to be in an environment full of dog hair :(

Our puppy has pretty short hair and doesn't seem to be shedding but we still Hoover twice a day, sweep and mop once a day and brush him once a week xx

My mum bought a metal comb for my sisters dogs, as the hair that comes off them is ridiculous. It's alot less since she's been using this comb. But still on the floors etc... It's a big reason my baby won't be over at my mums much as I don't want it covered in dog hair, and breathing them in xxx

We've got laminate floors rather than carpets so it's easier to sweep it all up. We sweep every day and hoover once or twice a week. The dog gets brushed every other day, but do it in the garden.

It's a golden doodle. (a mix between a golden retriever and a poodle)
Unfortunately we have wall to wall carpets all over the house :wall:
Anyway here she is, she was on the chair only for photo purposes lol. She is not allowed and I never saw her on chairs or sofas. (she Dosent like it either and that made it easier to train her lol) we have some here on our clothes when she is rubbing herself to us but mostly in big chunks on the floors. Inevitably though some of those going around on the air and that stresses me regarding the baby...
She is not supposing even to shed so much or at all so I hope once summer is over and she finishes changing her puppy hair to the adult one if she Dosent become a non shedder it will at least the whole situation improve  ImageUploadedByTapatalk1342775610.873341.jpg

No advice hun, but she is such a cutey!

xxxxxxx

She is but her hair is driving me bonkers lol...maybe I completely shave her lol for the first months of the beans life :faint:

She's cute and won't shed much.

If you want to see a constant year round shredder come here :D

Hubby will vac up and in mins it'll look like needing it again with Sams hair hehe.
Get new clothes and baerly take them out of packet and they'll have his hairs on.

Constantly fishing his hairs out my drink and food.

Only thing I'll be doing when babies here is making a quilt to put on floor for baby so quilt should be hair free on upfacing side.
Sam can't go in bedroom much anyway due to my allergies and asthma so that won't be a problem for baby.

Out of all the dogs I've fostered, my own Dal is the worst for shedding.

If your reall really worried then just swap main room carpet for laminate if possible and keep the dog out of bedrooms.

The puppy is not allowed upstairs. I was only worry about the bean playing an sleeping in the living room.
Comparing to your dog yes she Dosent seem to shed so much lol. she only started shedding like 5 months ago. I so hope that will get better

Same here. We have a Westie which thankfully doesn't shed that much hair but I still brush every day and hoover once a week. This also gets rid of all the dust she brings in from outside. I did all this before baby arrived as I can't handle mess in house :shakehead:

We cant change the carpet now but it's on our plans though probably not before the bean is born...
We have a robot vacuumer too that cleans every night the living room while we are sleeping. So that's 2-3 times per day vacuuming :wall:

awwwwwwwww! nothing to add lol but i LOVE your dog soo much i just wanna cuddle it

I have 4 largish, double coated dogs which means ALOT of hair! All you can do is brush her lots and vacuum, perhaps (given her breed) you could take her to the groomers for a shorter clip?

I would suggest a brush called a furminator but I dont think it will work on her coat.

I was going to mention the fulminator but again wasn't sure how they'd work on a curly coat? May be worth looking online at reviews for labradoodle type dogs though as they are amazing!

I have 2 collies and a long haired cat.

I just brush the dogs regularly and vacuum regularly. The cat tries to kill me if i attempt to groom him, so he gets groomed as and when he'll let me! :-)

As long as the amount of hair isn't excessive, then i'm sure it wont be a problem. I grew up in a house with dogs and cats and i'm happy and healthy!
