Hey girls

Does anyone of you take progesterone and iron supplements?

xx

Yes, I take Vit D and a whole load of progesterone in injection form and pessaries

Where did you check your progesterone levels? Do you remember what was yours? I checked mine in the private clinic as GP refuses any help.

I had my bloods done at my clinic. Luckily I wrote it down, they said it was low at 31.4, then after taking all the various progesterone it went up to 289. I'm no expert tbh on what the normal levels are though but they wanted to see high numbers. What level did you get?

Charlotte!!! Great to see you.

I was on progesterone in early pregnancy until 16 weeks. I didn't have my levels checked tho. If you take and your body doesn't need it, your body will get rid of the extra.
I'm on iron supplements from the gp as I'm anemic! Have you had your levels tested? X

I checked my progesterone at 4.5 weeks at it was 56. Then tested again at 7 weeks and it was 40.

Apparently in first trimester it should be between 9.5-47. Despite mine being OK I still take small dose of progesterone before bed time.

Peanut! So good to see you too. How are you doing? Not long now haha :) Did your gp prescribed you extra progesterone and iron?

I checked my iron levels and hemoglobin too. These too are at a good level. Doing another test tomorrow. Despite its good I take iron supplements too. :)

Are you taking aspirin this time?

I bought the progesterone pessaries myself then was prescribed by my recurrent miscarriages consultant.
My 28 week bloods tests showed I was anemic so they've put me on 3 pills a day until after birth.

Are you having an early scan? X

Peanut

I am taking 75 mg aspirin. 50 mg iron and progesterone too.

I had my first scan last week and saw my baby :) and heartbeat. :) Such a beautiful moment.

Are you ready for the birth? Did midwife do week 28 iron test?

xx

Hi can I ask were u prescribed aspirin? I'm probably thinking too far ahead atm but just had a MC and already researching how we're going to have a healthy bean next time and read aspirin can help of you have MC but I'm not sure whether my GP will just think I'm reading too much on the internet or if it's actually a thing?

Your levels seem within range then, but it's good that you've got an added supplement seeing as your level dropped a bit. Was it the clinic that provided you with the progesterone then?

So sorry. Aspirin can help with your next one. You don't need prescription to get aspirin. You can get it in any pharmacy or even supermarket.

Private clinic only does scans and tests but don't offer anything else cause I'm not a patient there.

I had left over progesterone at home. I contacted another doctor and she said the level is good and I don't need it.

Folic acid is more important.

Did you tell anyone you were taking it though or just did it off your own back?

Awhh, so glad your scan went well. Exciting times! Are you finding out the gender?
Yeah, I'm ready I can't wait to meet her! Plus my body juts hurts now lol.
Yeah, at 28 weeks you have to have bloods rechecked for everything and mine showed low iron, was supposed to have my iron levels checked again at 34 weeks but my consultant forgot.

Peanut, wow you are almost there. Not long now. Have you got any names in mind?

I would like to find out the gender. :)

Keep having backache. It comes and goes. Did you have backache in early pregnancy?

xx

Ahh, I'm excited for you! :) can't wait for your updates aha.

I have had backache in all my pregnancies, this one was bad though. It's pretty normal! X

Peanut

Beautiful names! :)

5 weeks is not very long. Are you still working?

Yes back pain comes and goes. Glad its not only me.

Did another progesterone and iron tests today. Result will be available next week.

Thanks :)
I had to leave my job when I was around 8 weeks cos we moved away closer to hubby's work. I left a little earlier so I could take it easy before the move and pack without stress.

Hope your tests come back ok. Please keep us updated x
