Probably being silly over pains....

Glad you now know what it is and hopefully the medication will get is sorted.

Well, due to the back pains and how long a UTI has been thought to be the problem (have been told I had one at 16 weeks, then doc said i didn't. Then valentines day was told all clear. Then mothers day was told had blood in my urine. GP got a letter to say inconclusive, needs repeating. been repeated 3 times at GP's since. Checked and said to be clear in triage on thurs. Ward said was clear but sending to labs. And today was told it's an infection!!)

So, strongly believe it's now in my kidneys. hence all the pain. Will discuss it with my consultant tomorrow. Will simply stop worrying and relax tonight...I hope!lol

oh thats brilliant news hun, well you know what I mean  you can relax now and let the antibiotics do there thang and hopefully you'll feel much better real soon. Only until tommorrow to wait to see consultant which is also good   xx

Glad you've got some answers and you've got some kind of idea of whats going on.

x

Thank you ladies. Your support on here is so helpful. It helped me feel like I was not being the silly arse I decided I am. You are all the best. This is the best pregnancy forum

Cranberry juice is manky...but I will put up with it if it helps!

Thats reassuring to know its a UTI and they can clear it with antibiotics.

Take care & take it easy

glad you have got anti-biotics

i am on anti-biotics at the moment for a kidney infection, so can sympathise as to how painful they are :( it really is the worst, sore, constant pain i've ever experienced.. (i guess labour will be a big shock to me :rotfl: )

LoL

The difference is, with labour you kind of just do it...And you know you will have a baby at the end.

Any other pain is pointless and upsetting.

So, I am sure you will cope with labour fine!!lol

Am so glad it is a UTI though and am not at risk of a pre term birth. It's helped me relax a lot.

thats exactly what i said the other day in the midst of my agony :rotfl:

hopefully the anti-bis will kick in asap, mines started working the next day

I think with the labour pains (i may change my mind when i experience it!) it's not so bad in a way because you know it will stop and when it does you'll have your LO. There is also the fact that each contraction will last only upto 90seconds, which is still a while but at least it isn't constant!
