Has anybody had private treatment during ttc process. I'm considering for a lap due due to the waiting list xx

We were told that a lap and dye costs more than IVF!

My hsg alone cost £400 so I would a lap to cost several thousand given it's classed as surgery xx

Yes my HSG cost £425 and we were told that a laparoscopy costs thousands.
Its really annoying having to wait on the NHS. Our consultant wants me to stay in the waiting list even though the HSG indicated no hydrosalpinx, just in case whatever it was comes back again so I don't need to go to the bottom of the list again.
I hope you don't have to wait too long.

How long have toys been on the waiting list for? My consultant said he will try and give us priority but I'm not holding my breath! X

Since the middle of Feb and its a wait of about 18 weeks. But we are going ahead with IVF for now because the tubes were clear on the HSG. But I'm staying on the list in case they find another blockage during egg retrieval. So on tenterhooks really!

Sorry just saw that my post said toys! Hope ivf, goes well for you, the whole process is daunting for me, really hope they can unblock my tubes when I finally get round to having my lap xx

Ha ha! Thank you, I hope they can too, good luck and I hope you don't have to wait too long. :clock:

One private clinic contacted me back and quoted £2400 for the lap, I'm assuming that's doesn't cover any additional work! X

Hope you don't mind me commenting but if you have any health insurance (we had through hubby's work) then check as you might be covered. Whilst ttc I was covered for everything up until diagnoses and this included a laparoscopy. After discovering this I had the operation within a month! x
