millie loves banana. i feed her at least a jar every day (usually hipp organic banana rice pudding)

iv tried making banana meals and freezing little ice cubes at home, but when i defrost them they go brown, and i dont fancy giving her brown banana! :puke:

is there some kinda preservative i can buy to add to it or is it just impossible to store home-made banana baby food?

I've found it just as easy to just mash up 1/2 a banana as and when I give it to her rather than freezing it as you dont need to precook bananas. you could try adding a tiny bit of lemon juice but personally i wouldnt bother freezing them.

Tuck is right - a bit of lemon juice should do the trick!

I agree with tuck too, just mash when needed. I squish it with the skin on and then open it, I find it a lot easier to mash up then.
