Hi all
I called my midwife yesterday to ask her if I should stop taking my folic acid as now over 12 weeks. She said yes and that I should go to chemist and get my "Healthy Start Vitamins" - she recommended I take them throughout pregnancy and a year after.
I went to chemist and they were only £1.21 for 2 months supply - bargain!! I compared them to Pregnacare and although they dont have the same amount of vitamins in them (by a huge margin - healthy start only have folic acid, C & D), they are a good cheap alternative. My doctor told me not to bother with pregnacare and I was not going to bother but now I've got these vitamins at such a bargain price, I may as well...
Good news too for any ladies out there who qualify for Heathly Start milk, veg and fruit, you can also get these vitamins free!
Just thought this may be interesting to some out there!
