Hey,

I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice? I have PCOS (Poly Cystic Ovarian Syndrome) so my periods are scatty to say the least!! That said, this month I've been feeling a bit weird - feeling nauseous, light bleeding about a week before my period was expected (and i mean terribly light!!) and blacking out in a shop. Lightheaded and weepy for nothing.

Thing is because of the PCOS Ive no idea when a period is truly due, although i can guess, or even if I'll have one. I could easily skip one and not be pregnant, so this makes testing a little bit unpredictable and definately unreliable! Is there anyone else in the same situation? Is it worth seeing a doctor dyou think?

I'd be really grateful for any light people could shed on this! You can probably imagine I'm a touch confused right now!

Thank you,

Jo

Light bleeding can happen around the time the embryo implants in the uterus. Emotions run high and dizziness are also symptoms. My advise would be to do a home pregnancy test and if it is negative go and see your doctor.

Hiya Jo

I too suffer with pcos and i totally agree it can be a pain in the backside.

I had the same problems as you when it came down to my periods :wall: .

After years trying i found out i was pregnant in november 2006 i also suffered with dizzyness , sickness although i was never sick the only way i found out i was pregnant was to do a test .

According to docters pcos can in no way affect a pregnacy test i.e come up with a fake positive .

If you need to talk feel free to pm me i understand what ya going through .

GOOD LUCK

I have PCOS too hun, are you taking any meds to "encourage" your periods or are you still have them spontainously? I was taking Provera to bring my periods on which helped for a few months then my body kinda got the idea what to do each month, I would also recomend a home test then if its a defo neg speak to the docs as they can prescribe the provera and metformin, which i believe was the catalist to me getting my BFP,
Good luck lovie gis a shout on msn or PM if ya wanna chat/moan/advice/winge
