Pregnancy Illness

For the last month or so, I've had cold after cold. This time I've had a cold and horrible chesty cough. Has anyone else had it? What did you do to rid it? I've had it nearly a week now and nothing is helping xxx

Have you had your flu jab? Are you taking any vitamins?

I ended up with 3 or 4 chest infections during my first pregnancy.

During my second brief pregnancy I had a chest infection.

I suspect its because your immune system drops to grow a tiny human.

Only thing you can do, is antibiotics for the infection and making sure your taking your vitamins.

I take pregnacare. Since being pregnant I've probably been the healthiest I've been in a long time - I've not had one cold so far since being pregnant and usually I have at least 3 or 4 a year.

I know what you mean - I religiously take my vitamins and have had the flu jab - I've had 4 really horrible colds so far - doesn't help my little boy brings loads home from nursery and I seem to get whatever he has but this pregnancy I'm getting absolutely everything
