I was out Christmas shopping today and couldn't resist going into Waterstones and browsing the pregnancy section.

I bought a book called 'Your pregnancy week by week' and its fantastic! Its got so much info, and loads of diagrams and pics. At £19.99 its not cheap, but I just wanted to treat myself.

Do any of u have pregnancy books/mags that you'd recommend?

My favourite is 'The Best Friends guide to Pregnancy'. There are no pictures but it's so funny, it literally tells it like it is and has me in stitches every time I read it!

I got mine on Amazon for less than £1!

Other than that I like What To expect When Youre Expecting.

Oohh that sounds good babyelmo I might look into that.

Thanks girls. I'm going to end up spending a fortune on literature lol xx

Oo i forgot to put price!I think i paid about £13 for it. It has pull out pages for each trimester and tells you whats happening each week to your body and then it has piccies of how your baby is changing and growing!Like i said i love it xxx

I got "the blokes guide to pregnacy" but I read it and found it brilliant and really funny it was about a fiver off amazon and also what to expect when your expecting x

i just have an app for my phone! lol

keep meaning to look for a good book though!

I haven't bought any but what I do (to save a few quid) is go to our local library....the books are all free!!

Ours has quite a bit of choice but you can order them in from other libraries

Just an idea for those of you that don't use your local library!

Great idea about going to the library, I so hadnt even thought of that!

I bought The Rough Guide to Pregnancy and Birth by Kaz Cooke, only because it said 'for the terrified first timer' on it. Its a good book, but doesnt have loads of info in it so I'm looking at getting the day by day guide, just because I'm slightly impatient to wait for the next week section ha ha!
