So, I had an ectopic back in January. I posted on here my faint positives then I ended up in hospital after I had ruptured and lost a tube at 6 weeks pregnant. :(

I got my first VERY faint positive Thursday morning (7th August), then a negative in the afternoon. I had a very faint positive again Friday morning with a negative in the evening using a clear blue digi. After going to the doctors on Sunday, I have had a blood test. I got the call this morning, so at 12DPO/13DPO (Sunday) apparently my levels were just at 25. From what I have read, this is very low.

I did a clear blue digi tonight, thinking it wouldn't pick up in the evening if my HCG hadn't risen... it has however picked it up and stated 1 -2. I did this an hour ago.

Now I'm terrified, I can't celebrate being pregnant because I now have to wait 2 weeks to have a scan to see if it's in the right place.. I'm off to the doctors tomorrow for my first appointment.

Did anyone else have low HCG and then have a successful pregnancy? Has anyone ever had a successful pregnancy after an ectopic?

I am so stressed fearing a miscarriage or another ectopic and I'm having small pains which I'm hoping are trapped wind perhaps? (To put it crudely).

Thanks for your help guys.

Hi Katie, I'm sorry I have no idea but didn't want to read and run. There's definitely ladies around who have had successful pregnancies following ectopic, this part of the forum doesn't seem terribly busy. Everything crossed for a good outcome for you xx

Thanks very much. I have my scan booked for two weeks today. I've been getting myself quite upset so I'm trying to stay calm and ride out the next two weeks :( xx

Sorry to hear of the stressful time you're going through. I can't speak to the low HCG level, but I experienced a ruptured ectopic pregnancy in February of this year and lost my left tube in the process. Two months to the day we found out we're expecting again. In a panic, I called my GP and was in to see him with a few days and I was booked for a scan at 5 weeks just to make sure it was in the right place as I too was 6 weeks at the time of rupture and they didn't want to leave the scan any longer. Turns out everything is fine and bean landed in the right place. I've had a total of 4 scans now just checking on everything in general and the anatomy scan. I'm now a day over 21 weeks and everything is going along perfectly. Hope my experience can give you some hope that things will be okay this time.

Try and keep as calm as possible (I know that's extremely hard) and keep us posted.

Take care of yourself!

Thanks for the support. I just thought I'd update you. They think I'm miscarrying currently in agony and just got back from hospital. Got to monitor hcg levels to make sure they drop and it's not ectopic. Game over again for me xxx

Katie I'm so sorry to hear this, very sad news. Take the best of care xx
