My daughter is 26 months and I am trying to potty train her. She was doing ok when half been doing it over last few weeks. But started properly yesterday and not one wee or poo yet in the potty! She's clever enough to do it but not sure shes physically ready. She can't jump yet and I have heard they need to be able to jump to have the right muscles to hold it in. Anyone else heard this or know whether it's true?

Not heard that Hun . With the boys I start potty training them when they showed me they were ready . Try not to get hung up on ages etc every child is different . Have u tried a reward system ? Know it's not everyone's cup of tea but it worked with my boys they got a choc button everytime they did a wee in the potty. Hope this helps xxx

Ive not heard that about jumping before! Try not to worry thi, 26 months is still young! My oldest was over 3 before she trained and my youngest is 28ish months and although she knows when she wees, she's still not quite ready yo train! I'd leave it a kittle while and then try again! It'll only stress you both out if the times not quite right xx

Got reward system in place. Have lowered expectations! She now gets a button if she asks up sit on potty never mind weeing on it! She gets more rewards if wees or poos on it. Wasn't going to start it yet buy she keeps taking her nappy off and saying she wants potty. Today is a long day! X

Just noticed your daughters dob, she's 4 days older than mine :) she's always telling me she needs a wee but just likes to sit and look around lol! This weathers ace for it tho, you can let them run around outside with no bottom half on! It can be a really long process, but stick with it! The fact she wants to sit on it is really encouraging'

Just had a wee on the potty! Although it was just luck as had bribed her to sit on it! Really don't think she's ready,my plan was to do this in may earliest! But cant keep a nappy on her so got to persevere! Think was assuming by now she would get it! She's got nursery tomorrow so at least they can take over for a day! What age gap is there between your two? Looks like closer than mine!

A year and 17 days! Hard work but well worth it! :yay: for a success! Think we might give it another whirl again tomorrow! I feel proper clueless even yho it's only a few months since I did it!
