Possible pregnancy symptoms OR effects of coming off the pill?!

Hiya, Im 20years old and about 2 months ago I started missing a few pills... within the last 4 weeks I have stopped taking the pill. Over the last 6 weeks I have had regular sex (obviously unprotected due to not taking BC) but it has generally been when I dont think Im ovulating ( I am aware I can ovulate at any time and the changes in hormones due to the pill can alter this...)

My last period was about 2.5 weeks ago but was very very short and light... it was 9 days late!
My period before that was again 6 days late but was literally 2 days of 'heavier spotting'....

Over the last 3-4 weeks I have noticed I have gained weight (I have a few stretch marks on my stomach) I have had nausea, itchy breasts, exteme thirst and fatigue, headaches, mood swings and odd stomach cramps... plus a metallic taste in my mouth!!

I read that coming off the pill can cause pregnancy symptoms and I WILL take a pregnancy test Im just wondering what you guys think???
Im weighing up the possibilities as when I did have sex it is unlikely to be at my most fertile time... and although I have had periods they havent been proper periods and could be BCP .... :S

Just wondered as I think the symptoms are ALOT!

I think you should take a test hun. It's the only way to find out, it sounds like you could be preg with those symptoms but like you say coming off the pill does crazy things to you. I have been off it for 4 weeks now and my body is going a bit mad but I took a test yesterday and it was negative, and I think AF is on it's way now you should deffo test to find out one way or another!! Good luck with the result you want xxx

yeah I definitely will!! what sort of symptoms have you been having?! a few years ago I came off the pill for 4 months but all I had was bad skin... no other symptoms! xx Thanks

The girls are right...only way to know is to test. I have been off pill for a few months now and I had some crazy symptoms which made me think 'yeah! im DEFO pregnant!' but turned out it wasn't at all and just my body adjusting to things.

When I was waiting for my period to arrive first one after my Miscarrige, I had symptoms all over the shop, and I'm sure it wasn't my head doing it, and I wasn't pregnant then! I think the symptoms are so close to preg ones, good luck when you test, and i hope you get the answer your looking for X

I have been having slight cramps now for the past few days and AF was due yesterday but no sign yet just slight spotting yesterday, got bad skin and greasy hair, had 2 nosebleeds last weekend and also been v emotional!
Like JJmum i don't think I Have been imagining them, its so annoying how the symptoms are so similar to preg symptoms! Have you tested yet Emily? xxx

Yeah it's soooooo weird.... I know for a fact I'm not imagining them lol!!
Its just weird because I have been on and off the pill a few times and I've never had any of these symptoms and even coming off I still had periods like clockwork to the day.... never like this?!
No I haven't yet... I think tomorrow will have to be the day! xx
