Does anyone else feel like this or is it just me? I feel incredibly possessive over Poppy and hate anyone else holding her. I think that's why the amount of visitors we've had has really got to me. Whenever anyone else holds her apart from me & OH, I just want to scream "Give her back!!"
I know this sounds really selfish, and of course everyone wants to have a cuddle and I do let them, I just feel on edge the whole time.
Please tell me I'm normal and that this will go away!

Yes completely normal :) Give it a few months and you'll be happily handing her over so you can sit down for a relaxing cuppa!

Totally normal, for the first few weeks there were times I wanted to go upstairs and hide from LO (bf was hurting a lot) but as soon as anyone else was holding him (except my DH and mum) I wanted him back within 1 minute! Like Becky said it's not long before your happier to hand them over, although I still worry I'm missing out when I'm not with him.

I could have written this myself. I'm still a tiny bit like this and he is 13 weeks. It is starting to die down now. I started to cry every time a visitor told me they were coming. In the end I spoke to OH and we agreed on a no visitor day. Nobody at all apart from me, OH and baby. It was bliss. Didn't make me feel so bad when visitors came then. xx

It wont go away completely, but yeah in a few months you will be glad for a 5 minute break :P

I am sooooo possessive of Brooke. I want to punch anyone that holds her

I think sometimes it feels worse with certain people - my MIL & SIL have only seen Brooke once (hope it stays this way) but I hated them holding her and actually cried...! Now the visitors have really died down so it's much better :yay:

completely normal hun, and i am still the same lol. my bubba is kinda possessive of me too haha

Sweetie Im the same and have been from day one and still dont like my LO staying with other people or being with them where I cant see him or make sure he is ok. Each grandparent has a thing, my Father in law has no gate on his garden and leads to the road!!! My MIL complains abour her back and cant keep up with my LO, my mum has a dog thats an effin loonie who steals my LOs food or toys. Honest babe, some people have it for longer, it gets easier its completely normal. When I had him by c section I was savage if anyone came near, proper protective like "I swear to god if you come near I might kill you"....now poppett do you feel better? Coz I am extreme and nobody can parent him nor love him like me. Hope my crazy head puts things into perspective hun and I promise it does get easier but dont want you to think that if it doesnt disappear over night or in a few months there is anything wrong either xxx
