Positive test, worrisome appointment

I am really struggling right now with how to feel. Last Tuesday (May 15th) I took four pregnancy tests (3 digital, 1 standard) all of which were positive. Each digital said positive and there was a definitely present, but faint line on the standard. If I’m remembering correctly my last period was around April 10th which would put me at roughly 6 weeks since then. My immediate reaction is to call the OB/GYN to schedule an appointment which took place yesterday (May 22nd). I went in feeling so nervous and excited and left feeling so confused and disappointed. I should mention I have a wonderful six year old son that I didn’t know I was pregnant with until 10 – 11 weeks, he is amazing and healthy. We have the doctor appointment, they start the pregnancy test while asking a few questions, and the nurse said “oh the test is taking a little longer than I thought” and then takes it into the other room. The midwife comes in after about five minutes and says that it took an unusually long time to get a faint positive with how far along I should be. I told them roughly the first week or two in April was MLP as I didn’t know off the top of my head the day I started my period. She then offered up various reasons as to why it could be so faint like it’s just early, a chemical pregnancy, my urine was not concentrated enough, so on so on. She sends me down for bloodwork and I’m going back tomorrow to have more done so they can compare the numbers – hoping she calls me tomorrow afternoon. After the appointment I had purchased another 2 pack of tests (1 digital, 1 standard) and took the digital which said pregnant, I am saving the standard for tomorrow morning first thing. I am just feeling so disheartened even though my SO said the midwife didn’t sound too negative, that she was just going over everything that was possible. We had already discussed everything and the shock wore off and we were both very excited for our appointment. Did anyone else get faint lines up to 6 weeks roughly? I didn’t see the test they took so I’m not sure what it looked like. I have had no spotting, blood, or anything unusual down there, have been having mild cramping (feels more like gas than anything), and have been experiencing nausea. Hoping it’s just early and crossing our fingers for the best.

I never showed on any tests until I was 8 weeks with my son, Usually the doctors use cheapies which often aren't as sensitive as the branded ones!

If the digi says pregnant I'd just take it that you are and wait a few weeks x

I tested this morning and it looks like a big fat positive so I’m feeling much more hopeful today!

I tested and got a faint positive on cycle day 37 the day my period was due. So automatically I was placed at 7 weeks from last period. I had a scan a week or so later and I was actually dated at around 5 weeks. Could this be possible for you?

I’m so hoping it’s jsut early - I go in about an hour to draw more blood and hopefully I will know by the end of the day!
