Hi ladies how are you all?

I haven't posted in here for a long time. I was wondering if i could pick your brains about something?!

So i had all my test done which showed i had PCO but all bloods where ok so wasnt diagnosed with the syndrome, just the PCO bit, however i am having bloods done to see if i ovulate each time. Doc says as long as im ovulating regularly it shouldnt effect my fertility.

Either way what will be will be, im not crying into my cup of tea yet! lol

BUT i have these awful pains in my left ovary area they've been there since AF left 3 days ago and also had cm tinted with blood only once when wiping and nothing since. Im only cd07 and done a opk which is negative.

Also i do often get pains in my left ovary area but not usually this much.

Is this normal for PCO, my mum reckons it sounds more like PCOS...she been googling apparently! lol Ive told her i dont wanna know, as google is pure evil. But i thought i'd ask you lovely ladies.

Any ideas?

P.S i am seeing th doc again at the end of the month so will mention it to him, altho my specialist has retired and i now have a new guy :(

Hi Emma! How are you other than the ovary pain?
I have severe PCOS and get ovary pain all the time, it's normally a sharp stabbing pain but can vary a bit and is completely normal with pcos unfortunately.
The difference between PCO and PCOS, is PCO is just multiple cysts on ovaries and PCOS is the syndrome as well, so high testosterone and LH and excess hair, acne, weight gain etc.
Your doc is right that as long as you are still ovulating regularly it shouldn't affect your fertility, do you have regular cycles? and have you had bloods done 7 days after ovulation?
Try not to worry too much about the ovary pain, in my experience it generally doesnt mean much xxx

Did you have a scan?? I'm not sure what this could be, but I would ask the doc to do a scan and tell him about your pains. It's not fun going around with pains (especially when you've had your period and the pains should be over)

Hope you figure it out soon!

xx

I got stabbing pains in my ovary at random times during my cycles not just at ovulation, only rarely had random spotting, it could be cyst bursting that's caused it hun xx

I have PCOS but don't always have cysts on my ovirys (just randomly but blood tests were out of whack)

Occasionally I get sharp pains in my oviry area - normally on the months I miss a cycle.

Hi im good apart from the constant dull ache! Its not so much painful more annoying! lol

The bloods that my gp did all came back fine, but the specialist wants more done to check that i ovulate each month, which i think i do to be honest ive ovulated for the last 3 months definately as ive been using opks religously! lol

As for the syndrome part i am over weight and i do suffer with spots, but the doc hasnt mentioned them. I think also they are ruling PCOS as i already have a 9 year old.

I dunno, suppose i'll know more when i speak to the specialist, though in the mean time i may take myself to the gp just to get checked out?
