pneumococcal immunisation

Hi, my baby is 6months old and is about to have this immunisation but im alittle worried as a friend told me shed heard about side affects with it. Ive googled it but not found much. Have any of your babies had this yet? What are your thoughts on it?x

Is this the new vaccine?

I haven't heard any negative things about it. I asked about it today as our LO had his second lot of jabs today. But the nurse said that they only have 10 lots of vaccines at the moment so goodness knows when Isaac will get it.

Hi My son had it yesterday and there are no side affects other then the normal side affects from all injections.

My son was fine although very restless last night so mummy and daddy didnt sleep to well.

Abi had hers 3 months ago as we were in Australia and they've had them over there for ages, she was fine when she had it done and there have been no side effects since, any side effects are uncommon and only a very slight chance, i personally would take the chance of having it done than Abi getting meningitis which as you all know is a killer

I got sent thru a leaflet at the same time as Rebecca's appt- no different side affect than the other jabs-red lumps, temperature, gurny etc.

Unlike the other jabs, they are not getting injected with a strain of the bug...

Harley had his jabs today.
poor little mite. his had medicine and is fast asleep now

Jacob had his last week - no side effects although he slept right through 9-6 the evening of the injections and hasn't done since, lol!!!

I gave Harley some medised. he slept from 11am today untill 6pm woke had a bottle and asleep again
