Please read, and help, i am desperate

Hi all,
A week or so ago I felt a little crampy so went to the GP who suggested I have a scan (I was around 7 and a half weeks) but the dr said that since it was friday i wouldnt get the scan till after the weekend. we went on tuesday. after an external and then lengthy internal scan we were told that there was no heartbeat to be found. we were then told that this was either because our dates were wrong and its too early to see a heartbeat or the baby could have died and I will need a d and c (a what???). well my husband and i went to pieces hearing this and we have been scheduled for another scan on tuesday. as it comes nearer i feel so much worse, i am truly feeling desperate and horrible. anyway, tonight my husband and i decided to do another pregnancy test, it ws positive. what does this mean? please help...

thanks, i cant sleep, eat , drink, i am so nervous and sad and i keep asking myself if i had miscarried why would the preganncy test be positive.....

Im so sorry you are going through this. If god forbid the worst has happened, you will still be showing a postive, the hormone will still be there. Thats not to say you have miscarried. It could be a collection of reasons, its not abnormal to feel a bit crampy and I honestly dont think at my very early scan they mentioned a heartbeat. It was about 6 weeks because I had bleeding.

Please keep posting, people on here are very supportive.

I am so sorry you have to go through this.

The waiting is horrible because you can't help but imagine the worst.

I really hope things work out ok and your baby was just too little for them to find a heartbeat.

Good luck for tomorrow babe, let us know how you get on. I miscarried recently at 5 weeks, they couldnt find anything, and did a further pregnancy test which came up negative, so the hormone had already droped below detctable levels. So hopefully you will be okay. Fingers crossed
