My pram got delivered on Friday, and one of the things it didn't come with was a changing bag. You can get the matching one seperately for £40 but that sounds a bit too pricey!

Can anyone recommend a good one to go for? Or what to look for when choosing one? Is it better to get a big on or small one? And do you use the bottle pocket in them? I'm not even too sure what you need to carry around in one except for nappies and wipes!

I don't have any preferences, other than ideally I'd like one which isn't too handbag-like, because i want my OH to feel it's just as much for his use as it is mine!

Join the boots parenting club hun,you then will get a free huggies changing bag and mat and a few other goodies, can't wait to get mine :D xx

Im going to get a nice backpack/rucksack type thing. The changing bags you get with the prams are nice but the one I have just now fits my pram but not my buggy and wont fit my double pram and in a few months I will be using that.
Bear in mind if you are anything like me , you will get allsorts over it (and in it)and you will wnd up carrying everything but the kitchen sink in it.

i brought a new changing bag yesturday lol
i brough a whinnie the pooh bag from argos £12 i think u can get all the characters and i like it as i got a keyring to hehe

I just use a big bag for me - it's like a sack with handles  I don't need bottle pockets etc so didn't need a proper changing bag. I've got the free Huggies one from Boots which is good and I use that when I go swimming. Other than that a big bag that I can chuck in a change of clothes, wetwipes, couple of spare nappies, small toys, wallet, keys and mobile and I'm done! Oh and a carrier for the nappies (use reusables so need something to pop them in when they're inside my bag).

LOL rosie I read that 3 times and read "bin bag" every time...sorry blame the pills I'm on for my tonsillitis!

I have a rucksack style bag, with a cooler pocket.

You don't need a really expensive bag, one of the main features I looked for in my bag was lots of pockets, so you have one pocket for sudocrem, one for a drink, one for nappy sacks etc. That way you don't have to empty the whole thing out everytime you do a change.

Ahhh that is true. I'm forever rooting about  The worst thing was when I used to carry a small pot of sudocrem about and the lid was forever coming off. Somehow (must have been a 1 in a 100 chance) everytime I put my hand in the bag my finger would ALWAYS end up in that pot!! Glad I don't use it anymore

Oooh and if you haven't got a change mat yet for your changing bag then Wee Notions do some really cute ones. They're having a break at the mo from making them, but I have one and it rolls down really small. Plus it's made of fleece on the top layer so dries out really quickly. I just bung it in the washing machine every few days.

Ohh yes, if it doesnt come with one, i'll need a changing mat too - where can i get a wee notions one from?

I have one in the pink daisy fabric, it's really pretty (I'm addicted to that fabric, might even get Ella made a pinafore dress in it, hmmm could be overkill! ). They aren't making any at the mo, but it could be worth emailing them to ask if they know when they will be. I also have a swim nappy from them (and a couple nappies/nappy wraps) the workmanship is really good :D

thanks rosieroo, i'll keep my eye on the website!
