please help. advice needed!!!!

ok, ive got lil baby of 10 weeks...i love my partner to bits however....we are currently living with my rents to save up....now im going to put a deposit on a house and he will help pay rent etc.....how can i ensure that when i buy a house he has no chance of taking it away from me if we split i just want a bit of reassurance..i feel crap knowing im putting the deposit down and due to his finances we cnt out a joing deposit..i feel crap and like i have the upper hand..any advice?

..and also his parents ive just found out have £25000 debt...will this debt be passed on to me and my partner if they pass away...he has brothers and sisters ...

please can u offer any advice thank you xx

I know for a FACT that his parents debt can't be passed onto you x If you own the house, or the lease is in your name only i think he'd have a very hard time getting the house. I think he'd have to have main custody of the baby for him to stand a chance getting the hosue xx

thanks for replying and the advice...im working myself up in a tizz over it urrrrghhhhhh!!!!!!!!! im worried everything ive saved will be lost and my advantage over my partners is putting a bit of stress on things as i earn more than him :s xx

My OH and I bought a house together (put it in both our names) before we got married and I put down quite a large deposit on it from the sale of my wee house.

We drew up a contract (can't remember what it was called, but will find out) which basically stated if we split up, I would get my deposit back and any other profit would be split down the middle.

Maybe you could talk to him about doing something similar, unless its all going to be in your name?
