Do you have one and do you like it?

I got one today because my MIL and Dh thought we should have one with the new baby coming so I could pop Darragh in it for a bit so at least he is safe if I am busy with the new baby - but I hate it it feels all wrong and looks like a cage :( :(

But I can see their point, and I thought myself it might be handy to put the baby in to sleep during the day in a moses basket so he/she is safe.

Can anyone tell me their baby loves theirs?

Mines the travel cot, and she hates it. I only use it for when i leave the room for a minute like nipping to the toilet or making some dinner. Other than that she doesn't go in it.

Emma's not a fan of our's either. I just put her in it sometimes while I go in another room. It is useful for storing toys in though!!

leland has had a travel coat but his been it in since birth when we were at mums cos of dogs , i recently brought it to mine as he was stealing off my plate and more mobile so its somewhere safe for him , he loves it in his , his got his spongebob blanket on the bottom and its filled with toys and he'll happyly sit there playing

We have one but its not used as a playpen. We use it as a fire guard.

Once LO is a bit older we'll make it more den like and cosy and hopefully it'll be a fun place for him to be. We got one you can put a cover over so its like a teepee or something :)

When it is in playpen mode we've hardly ever used it tbh. He didn't care one way or the other as I think he was too young to understand.

All my 3 loved their playpens! It had all their favourite toys in and was a lifesaver for me when I needed to do things! I hope  Lola-Mae will like hers too! Its just a safer place for them to play while you nip to the toilet or hoover the room IMO! :D

We have one. OH is Dutch and it's very much the norm over there to have one. I was a bit hesitant about it but seeing as I didn't pay for it I figured we'd try it. It was an absolute godsend when she was tiny - rather than having to drag a moses basket around we would just put her in there to sleep during the day or if I needed to nip to the toilet. I honestly think it helped her distinguish day naps from night sleeping . It had a setting where you could raise the base up which was great when she was tiny as you didn't have to bend right down to pick her up. I used to change her in there as well rather than take her to her room to do it.

I have to say now it is still sitting in the living room but doesn't see much use at all - the two main uses it has are toy storage and for Becky to pull herself up to standing on using the outside of it  Though now she's more mobile I do occasionally put her in it to pop to the toilet.

You can see it in the background here - http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y2/daf ... C_1001.jpg

i have used playpen. It is very useful. I used it right at home just put a bunch of toys in there. If baby doesn't walk yet a nice comfy padding, cushioning on the floor helps.

I did think it was quite a few names I hadn't seen before!?! Weird xxx
