Hello ladies, i hope someone can help me with this?? iv been craving pickled herring (roll-mops) for months and months now and just tonight found a supermarket that sells it (we have 6 supermarkets within 20min distance :) )

I know they say that fish oils can be great for baby and mother, but im not too sure about Pickled herring? is it not raw fish full of vinegar, onions and pickles?

Iv had one and enjoyed every second of eating it as iv been going crazy for the stuff pretty much since falling pregnant, but id like to know how safe it is before i eat anymore

i had a search on Google and it dosnt say much of anything but other pregnant women have eaten jars of the stuff and been fine..

thanks for reading  please help :D

I should think they would be fine. I don't think fish is considered raw if it has been preserved in vinegar as the acid sort of 'cooks' it. Saying that, the thought if them actually makes me feel a bit green right now!

:rotfl: thankyou hun  i may go and have one right now
