I took out a 24 month bloody phone contract with Vodafone on a BlackBerry Storm. I'm on my 3rd, soon to be my 4th because of application errors and system failures. The phone is faulty and they're bringing out a new one to replace it. Can I ask for a new one? This is getting ridiculous :(

Yes I would definitly think you would be entitled to a new phone if its the actual phone/phone software thats faulty.. You wouldn't buy a dress with holes in it eh? xx

thats well bad, i would definatly think they should give you a new design one, thats really bad

I only took it out about 6 months ago if that! It's driving me bananas :( Got to ring them up and tell them another one is having an application error and keeps shutting down!

Blooming heck, thats bad, considering like you said it's a new phone. Dont stand for it and dont take no for an answer

I'd contact the makers and tell them you want it replacing

Vodafone do that, and they keep doing that, but I've had enough of having to wait a week for a new phone then only having it a month before it happens again. So frustrating! Am I allowed to ask for a different phone?

I think you should tell them what you want.. With big companies like that you don't get a result with being nice unfortunatly.. I would say you would definitly be entitled to a new phone anyway.. They would be on the phone to you if you wern't paying your contract.. So why should you keep quiet about paying for what you aren't getting :) give them what for lol

yep i think you are perfectly entitled to ask for a different phone hon. its not on, they have supplied you with faulty goods! hope its fixed soon xx

I work for a mobile phone compamy (not Voda tho)

We have a policy where if you have a replacement for the same or similar fault over 3 times you can choose a different model as your replacement.

I'm not sure if that's covered under the sales of goods act though or whether it's just something we offer. It's maybe worth speaking to customer service and asking them about it? Escalate to a supervisor if you have to

TORIA!!!!! OMG you shocked me!!! I thought you'd be like me....I NEVER miss an opportunity to give someone holy hell if they're pissing me off!! Get 'em rung!

 I'm more of a letter writer than a phone complainer. I don't even like calling the doctors. Phones are not for me

Toria i well thought like Merv's you'd be able to give hell on the phone... Ooo i love banter down the phone, espeically if i know im in the right, although even if im in the wrong i always make out im not!!
