I am thinking of buying one of these buggies for Isla who is 18 months and the baby due in feb/March time. I would love to hear all comments good and bad or anything at all relating to these buggies really.

They are expensive so i am trying to do my research carefully.......

Thanks guys :cheer:

i think they r pretty cool as they change bk into a single buggy when u dont need the double...

Sorry but I hate these buggies. I always feel so sorry for the baby at the back/bottom, they have nothing to look at & it's like they've just been put to one side & hidden away! I'm sure they're easy to use & light but I'd much rather have a bulky double buggy where I can see my baby & s/he can see me.

Having said that I've never actually used one so my comments are purely based on having seen them in the street.

Thanks girls i thought that about the 2nd child too but suprisingly they can see quite a lot and you can see both kids at once without moving your head which you cant do with a normal tandam. The only thing i am not sure about is hanging a changing bag off the handlebars and whether it would clonk the baby in the head.

My hubby is in love with this buggy and i just need to be sure as they are so expensive. They are super to push and steer even with 2 kids in they beat my single graco hands down just not too sure about the 2nd seat thing.

I bought one and took it back before DS was born as I decided it wasn't for us. I didn't like the fact that Alex was going to be stashed away underneath and that Ella's toddler seat would be up really high, I also heard that the toddler underneath can reach the back wheels and spokes... Just wasn't for us :) I then went onto buy a Jane Powertwin and really didn't like it, it was too long and the seats uncomfy. We've finally settled on a XTS Twin Twister, which although looks really wide is actually easy to push and most important comfy for the little ones.

I've recently bought one as Aidan will be 15 months when this one is born. Every time I went out and saw somebody with one I went on to them and asked them questions about it. I got loads of feedback off people and everyone I asked raved about them which made me decide to get it.

Thanks for that Kelsey, great help!

Kina mentioned that the toddler can reach and poke the spokes in the wheels in the lower seat, is this right? I had heard that the sport model had some upgrades from the old E3 model and that one of these was mudgards to prevent this? Does yours have mudgards and could they reach the wheel?

To be honest, I've not tried mine yet - I'm keeping it until the baby's born. It's got the mud guards on it tho. The woman in the shop said that the older child goes in front so I don't think the younger one would be able to reach the spokes anyway.

oh those ones yea i dont like em. i also feel for the baby in bottom. i have seen a toddler in there. why get that one when u can get a buggy and get a lil platform when baby is about toddler age then when u have anotehr baby that goes in pram :) child stand or sits on platform

The older child does go in front to begin with, but do they stay up front when you put the two seat attachment on it? I was worried about when both kids are older.

I think buggies are such a personal thing, all the reviews I read of the Powertwin said it was good but I detested mine. The P&T is pretty cool looking and very compact, it's the size of a single so would be ideal for pushing around town etc.

I am personally not a fan of buggy boards, they are heavy and useless when the kiddy wants to sit down, Isla is not 19 months yet and still likes to sleep in the buggy on occasion so need a double.

Going with mum tomorrow to order one, I'm so excited, gonna take Isla and hopefully try her in the back seat as well.

we put lauras baby ellouise in one at the bottom i was looking at them and she just grabbed the wheel straight away so that put me right off :shakehead: :shakehead:

We have bought one-- in red. Our youngest is 2years 4 months and still goes in his buggy-- so when baby comes it will be ideal for them both.
I do agree with the bit that you can't 'see' baby, I'll be like " Hey-=- Ive got a newborn under here too..!!"
But we like the idea that the pram can detach and just be used as a single buggy later on.
Not many 2 seaters can do that-- you have to just get rid when your kids get bigger.
