Period question.

Hi ladies,

I'm 9 weeks post birth.

Before LO I would get very heavy AF and usually bright red blood.

So yesterday I started to bleed, old blood and thought yet thats my first period since LO born started so took the first tablet of my combined pill. Continued to be old blood until this morning. Then later today when I went to the loo to change a tampon there was nothing there - no blood!

So not sure if it is my period just having a staggered start or if it wasn't it at all. In which case, I have started taking the pill again at the wrong time!

I have read recent threads where some of you have had very heavy first periods after birth. But have any of you experienced what I have?

Im a little anxious that i might have taken the pill when I shouldn't have/didnt need to yet!!

If some of you could throw me a pearl of wisdom or two I would be much obliged.

I can relate to this, my LO is 5wks tomora, I only bled for 9days after having him, and on monday i got really bad period cramps then a few hrs later started to bleed very lightly by tuesday evening there was nothing. i spoke to my gp about it and she said it sounded like my period. Guess its better than a heavy flow.

Exact same happened to me at 8 weeks pp. Started like urs did, took pill and it stopped only to return 5 days later and be bloody horrific (no pun!). Its lasted 2 weeks! I'm sick-didnt even bleed that long after csect. I figured I should just keep taking the pill and glad I did in the end!xxx
