Hi Girls

Don't think i have introduced myself yet, some of you know me some of you may not. I have just found out this week that i am 4 weeks pregnant, thanks to my first ever ICSI two little embies were transfered. I can hopefully kiss those horrible 4 years ttcing goodbye!

I am over the moon but also very cautious and not to get too excited as it's very early stages. I had a bad experience a year ago when i went for a scan and found out it was not meant to be :( I will feel better when i see a little heartbeat - then and only then, will it become more real.

I have been suffering period type pains these past 4/5 days now. Very mild but very conscious of it! I also get little pinching pains sort of like stretching in my belly. Question: Is this normal? I have had no blood but a tiny bit of pink spotting which has all gone now.

Preg tests are nice and strong :)

I'm sure this is normal but have you guys experienced the same discomfort in early stages?

I'm so excited but also worried, can't wait for my first scan!!

HI Kerrieanne, how wonderful for you. Sounds like you've had a real journey to get here but I can tell you that I thought I was getting my period and getting proper period pains, til i realised the period never arrived and I did test and got a BFP. From what I have experienced, now 7 weeks, weeks 4-6 were like proper period pains, not severe but I knew it was there, like stretching pains in your lower belly. From what I've been told its totally normal and a sign of early pregnancy. They've died down a bit now but I still get twinges at odd times in the day. Hope this helps, I'm so pleased for you! xxx

yes this is normal in fact both of mine pains were that bad i had early scan as possible ectopic, it is wise though to monitor yourself though, with this one i also had bleed but every pregnancy is different. one woman could have loads of pain and bleeding only to loose it others have it all the way through.

if the pains arent that pain and no heavy bleeding u should be fine, most places wont really do anything at this stage as a good percentage of women can loose them and not even know they were pregnant but if you are ever concerned call your hospital and ask to speak to ur epau department or phone your docs and ask for the community midwives number xxx

I suffered from them very badly at the same stage, sweetie, it's just your womb adjusting to the new baby. Very worrying at first, but it's an early pregnancy symptom, so all going as it should be if it's not absolutely excruciating and there's no heavy bleeding.

Hi hun  so good to see u here! I had pains early on and it turned out to be normal, I'm sure it's all fine :) xx

Hi hun - Congrats on the BFP! Fx it's a sticky one!

The period type pains are normal. I had them up until yesterday!

X

Thankx girls

Made me feel so much better.

Thankfully pains are not so bad just a very mild type of period pain on and off. Funny though, but as soon as i get them a moment later my bb's surge and feel like they are on fire. Wowzers!!

Not complaining though, pregnancy symptoms are good. Bring it on i say!!

Thanks again xx
