Can i have this? Some things ive read say nuts is a no no and others say its fine having major peanut butter cravings :)

Some people like to avoid nuts hun, but as long as you obvs dont have the allergy to them or any major family history of allergys then its absolutely fine to have nuts. I have had satay chicken from the chinese loads and various other nuts. :) xxx

I remember my midwife saying that it 'used' to be a no no about peanuts, but she told me it is fine.

Not a problem for me, I HATE nuts...

But overall I would say they are fine. I have eaten a few roasted nuts when my friends have them in the pub...I would also like to point out that I do NOT swallow them down with beer! :)

Eating roasted peanuts does not back up my statement of hating nuts....

I like a roasted salted nut!

I ws told allowed nuts as long as no allergy in your immediate family x

I've read everywhere that they are fine as long as there is no allergy in your family but my midwife still says I definitely can't have them as I am asthmatic and the baby could develop an allergy. I can't say I've been that strict though, I haven't checked every ingredient

Im mildly asthmatic and havent been told to steer clear of nuts? In fact, I've probably eaten more peanut butter during my pregnancy than I have in the last couple of years! Loving it...X

Same here I'm asthmatic on preventer twice a day and still eat nuts.

Asthma can't give you allergics but pleanty of allergies and diseases can give you asthma (I got mine from having pnuemonia at around 7/8 years of age)

I read it's safe, just avoid them if a nut allergy runs in the family as you can pass the allergy onto baby

I LOVE peanut butter mmmmmm! I have it nearly everyday ha ha! xx

Phew thank godness ive been loving peanut butter on toast yum yum :)

I agree! Think my midwife is stuck in the old guidelines!!! It annoyed me too as I live peanuts and I questioned it and she said definitely not

They used to tell u to avoid nuts as they thought it could cause a nut allergy but now they think other wise, ive been eating nuts the whole way thro.
