Hi Everyone!!
First of all congratulations to all those ladies who got their BFP!
Now I want to know something... I'm pregnant and got the BFP few days before.. i had pcos and I was on metformin.. now my GP said me to stop taking metformin.. but I'm worried if I'll eat sweets and rice does it gonna effect my progesterone? Will all the carbs I eat will effect my pregnancy? Plz ladies tell me who had pcos what lifestyle the adopt DURING pregnancy!!

Thanks in advance

Hiya, I have pcos and although I've never had my bloods show any problems with sugars I have been taking metformin for about 7 months. I'm 24 weeks pregnant and am still taking it, I've not been told to stop by anyone so I haven't.

My diet is usually pretty good, I tend to eat low GI, higher fat lower carb, which is usually good for pcos (but it does depend on the individual). I have eaten more erratically since being pregnant as some things I've just gone right off. As long as you can eat a reasonably balanced diet you will be fine. Congrats on your BFP!
