is it allowed to park on double yellow lines on sundays? i see people doing it around the city centre here, i know single yellow line is ok but what about double?

no i don't think its permitted to park on double yellow line AT ALL by ANYONE.

i heard in certain parts of the country, a traffic warden needs to stand by the car for a certain amount of time before giving the car a ticket.

I can't remember where i heard it or how long they have to wait, but my OH has run back to is car parked on double yellows when a traffic warden has been standing next to it, and the warden has just walked off. But then it could have just been a nice traffic warden

anyone else heard of this?

legally you dont get the ticket till the actually put it on your wind screen or untill they hand it to you and you take it.

If there writing the ticket and you come back just get in the car and drive off. Ive done it twice and never had the ticket through. My brother also confirmed it and he is a rozzer he he he
